Your First Appointment
At Kings Dental Clinic we welcome new patients of all ages for both private and NHS treatment. To book your first appointment, please contact a member of our friendly reception team and let them know what kind of treatment you are looking for.
When you come in for your first appointment, we’ll ask you to complete a medical history form so that we know of any conditions we need to be aware of that may affect your treatment. We’ll also ask about your wants, needs and expectations from treatment, and what prompted you to come to see us, so that we can get an idea about the best treatment options for you.
One of our experienced dental team will carry out a thorough dental health check, including checking teeth for any signs of decay, gums for signs of gum disease, jaw joints to check normal opening and closing, and will also check for any signs of mouth cancer. We use the latest equipment, including intra-oral cameras and digital x-rays, to give us a full picture of your dental health.
Once your check-up is complete we will discuss our findings with you, letting you know all the treatment options available and providing you with a treatment plan for any general or cosmetic treatment required.
We offer a range of dental payment plans so that you can spread the cost of your treatment – please see our Offers & Fees page for more details.
Nervous patients
Our principal dentist has more than 15 years of experience in treating nervous patients. He has performed more than 6,000 relaxation sedation procedures and we are Dental Phobia registered and offer relaxation sedation. If you are phobic or nervous about visiting, our caring, experienced team is happy to discuss options with you.
Same-day emergency appointments
We offer same-day emergency appointments either on the NHS or privately out of hours. If you have a dental emergency, call the practice and if an NHS appointment is available we will offer it to you and will get you out of pain, after which you can register as an NHS or private patient if you wish. If no NHS appointments are available we can book you a private, out-of-hours appointment. We will never leave a patient in pain.
E-consultation
We offer an initial e-consultation. Just upload a selfie of your smile/teeth and let us know what you want help with. We can give you a brief outline of recommended treatment and you can book an appointment to visit the practice.
Kings Patients benefit from the best patient care available. We adhere to the standards set out by our governing bodies the GDC, CQC, NHS and BDA. All registered patients can opt to receive appointment reminders by text so you’ll never miss an appointment.
